Indian Students
NBIS is open to students, irrespective of religion, ethnic origin or economic status. NBIS, deals with all applications fairly.
Step 1 - Procurement of Application Forms :The applications can be downloaded and the filled in application may be submitted along with DD. The filled in form can be either sent to the school or handed over to the school office. An application fee of INR 900 can be paid in cash or cheque. Demand Drafts or Cheques must be made in favour of Nizams British International School (NBIS). Parents desirous of admitting more than one child must submit a separate application for each student. The application form must be submitted along with the supporting documents.
Essential documents include:
Birth Certificate.
Previous academic reports (Three years)
Most updated report of the current academic year (if applicable)
Relevant certificates regarding any medical concerns; and documents related to special learning needs (if applicable).
Step 2 - Registration
The completed application form, along with relevant documents must be submitted within 7 working days of having procured it.
Step 3 - Admission Test
These are tests to provide insight to the levels of understanding, critical thinking and general aptitude of the applicant.
Admission tests for all classes will be conducted at Nizams British International School, Ooty. The written tests comprise of objective questions, multiple choice answers and written descriptive responses. Shortlisted students should join the same year. Parents of LKG applicants can meet the faculty coordinator for a personal interview for admission.
Accreditation of Prior Learning - this procedure involves the examining of school and previous curricular & co-curricular records.
Step 4 - Interaction with Student
An interactive session is exclusively scheduled to familiarise your child with the school environment; understand his/her strengths and what makes him/her unique. The interaction is scheduled once the completed application form has been submitted.
Step 5 - Interaction with Parents
Post the student interaction, the faculty will meet the parents as well. This is an opportunity for us to meet the parents one-to-one, learn more about the family's short term and long term plans for your their child's future and we would clarify all the queries of parents if any.
